The new MES functions of iTAC.MES.Suite release
note 8.50 significantly expand the already established portfolio in the context
of a continuous operation, machine and quality data collection and their
analysis. All extensions of the iTAC.MES.Suite are based on practical
experiences and on a continuous dialogue with customers, partners and prospects.
The product portfolio of iTAC Software AG concentrates on the Smart Factory and
fulfills the requirements of the Internet of Things (IoT).
The most important innovations
at a glance:
The cloud-based Advanced Planning and Scheduling
service now works with version 5.0 of the detailed planning tool GANTTPLAN
(powered by DUALIS). It enables the creation of parallel and sequential
job-ID’s, the notification about workstep statuses as well as the planning
based on production lines. This allows production processes to be precisely
planned and scheduled dependent upon the available resources and capacities. In
addition to detailed order scheduling, the tool also visualises the results on
the graphical control unit.
The new iTAC.AppServer
new release iTAC.MES.Suite 8.50 now incorporates the Java EE 7 conform
iTAC.App.Server. This application server is a rebranded version of Payara
Server which is built on Oracle’s Glassfish Server Open Source Edition 4.1 plus
enhancements. Thanks to its selected bug fixes and commercial 24/7 support, a
much higher availability and operational safety
of the total software solution which is essential for smooth and trouble-free
operation of industry 4.0 applications can be ensured.
Innovations of the iTAC.BI.Service
The iTAC.BI.Service which was first introduced with the release 8.00 now offers new functional features like the Dynamic Definition and IMSApi statistics. The use of special JSON objects (so-called Dynamic Definitions) allows the customer to create individual data objects in an easy and flexible way. The report IMSApi Statistics gives a statistical analysis of the iMSAPI calls conducted by a capacity. Through the use of cross-platform HTML5 technology, the cloud-based reporting system can be used on Windows, iOS®- or Android® devices in an equal measure. Hence, the easy, quick and mobile analysis, reporting and preparation of Big Data is possible.
personalized factory data collection (pFDC)
The new feature easily enables the collection of production quantity and times for workorders, worksteps & stations. As an extension of the already available functions in the PM module, the new release 8.50 counts with a pFDC solution concept for person and job-related acquisitions of production times and quantities.
shiftplan maintenance (person, equipment and station)
This new feature supports the creation of time events
in order to define different productive / non-productive time slots. Week plans
and shift models can be created and assigned to person, equipment and station
which are forwarded to the APS-service and used for the scheduling.
New feature: multi-level board
and phantom products
With the new functionality of the order cluster,
it is now possible to manufacture different orders together. An order cluster
combines multiple orders which can then be manufactured together at one station.
The request for a simultaneous production of different products comes from both
the electronic as well as the mechanical industry. With the concept of the
order cluster, the production of multiple uses with different products or
phantom products can be mapped on a circuit board. The same applies to
mechanical processes where in one operation - for example, punching or
injection molding - a number of different products are being manufactured.
New feature: pre-setup
Through the introduction of a pre-setup, the
material setup for a machine can be prepared. Pre-setups can
be transferred to a machine as the active material setups. This type of
material preparation is, among other things, used for setup vehicles, tables or
carousels. With the concept of pre-setup the family setup is also supported.
New feature: serialized
receipt of goods
The possibilities to integrate foreign-made,
serialized assemblies into iTAC.MES.Suite were extended. With the release note
8.50.00 it’s possible to automatically integrate supplied components into the
own production process. All data objects which are required for this purpose,
such as order, work schedule or stock list, are – a certain configuration
provided - produced automatically. With that, all requirements to ensure a
“traceable” fitting of external, foreign-made components in the in-house
manufactured end products are fulfilled.
New feature: support of
Production orders can now be divided into
production batches (partial orders). Depending on the case of application it
can be advantageous to divide an order with a high order quantity in smaller
units. A Production batche inherits all relevant data from the parent base order
(without losing its reference) and can be used in the iTAC.MES.Suite without
any particular limitation
New feature: integration of an
AQDEF export interface
The export of serialized measurement data in
AQDEF format (Advanced Quality Data Exchange Format) has been included in the
QM module. The format allows the standardized data exchange between measurement
instruments and the software products of the company Q-DAS; the particular
focus here is on the software product qs-STAT.
