The iTAC.MES.Appliance is the ideal entry solution to Industry 4.0 - even for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It is the first product of iTAC's new product line iTAC.MES.Appliance to realize Industry 4.0 applications via plug & produce. The iTAC.MES.Appliance follows the Industry 4.0 principle "plug & produce" and enables traceability as well as other plant-specific Industry 4.0 applications at the push of a button. For example, a traceability solution can be quickly integrated and put into operation, independent from the central server environment. Thus, system functionalities, such as the services Traceability and Materials & Logistics of the iTAC.MES.Suite, can be provided for one defined production line without the necessity to roll out a time-consuming, cross-plant MES.
Hitherto, suppliers had to directly integrate a comprehensive MES solution to fulfill industry standards of car manufacturers, the FDA or different associations (e. g. VDA), because nowadays no production plant for mechatronics components gets licensed without any tracking & tracing system. According to the modular system, the server smoothly fits in with new conditions.
All information that is collected on an iTAC.MES.Appliance can be transferred into a local or cross-plant cloud-based iTAC.MES.Suite infrastructure at a later time. Through this an upgrade to a cross-plant MES including ERP and PLM integration is plainly possible.
The iTAC.MES.Appliance can be used as a unique product and an initial part of a plant-crossing MES solution as well. Regarding its integration or the following upgrade to an iTAC.MES.Suite, it does not make any difference in which country or on which continent the production plant is.
